That all depends on the child, but in most cases it can take a few sessions of familiarisation with the team, and some confidence building before introducing a player in to a competitive game.

The FA have set strict guidelines for youth football with regards to medical conditions, but conditions such as asthma are permissible.

It is a requirement of registrtion to declare all medical conditions, however small.
